DAS HAUS DES TODES / THE HOUSE OF DEATH / LA CASA DE LA MUERTE

Mittwoch, 18.8.2010, von Talkeetna zum Denali National Park/ALASKA (ca. 300 Kilometer)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was supposed to be a normal day on my motorcycle trip, but suddenly everything was different. It all started when I very late, so got up around 10:00 clock. It was late last night in the bar and I had tasted some local beer.

I got up, got dressed, gave me a cup of tea and 2 slices of bread with sausage and cheese, and a hard boiledegg. Then I sat down at the computer to answer my emails and wrote my blog. Then I loaded up my first1000 photos on Picasa.

And then something totally unusual - it began to seem the sun!

I packed my things, all mounted on the bike, put on my motorcycle jacket, helmet and gloves and pressed the start button. I blinked into the warm sunshine and enjoyed it to switch the gears up. A last look at Talkeetna and then I concentrated even on the new trip. After 20 kilometers I stopped at a lake to capture the idyll. A landscape like a picture book.

In between I stopped again and again, to take pictures of the landscape.

And then I saw the cross, just after a bridge. I turned around and drove back to the place to me all a closerlook. A memorial for one, tragically fatally injured child. A depressing picture that presented itself to me. A number of teddy bears adorned the memorial site, they probably had heard the child.

I had to continue because it was already early afternoon and I wanted to look in time for a hotel in National Park. At some point there was then a river with nothing but dead trees - strange!

The closer I got to my goal, the more the landscape changed and were the less cars on the road.

Then I stopped to take a few pictures of the landscape. Suddenly I heard the shriek of a raven in my back. I turned around, but there was nothing. I was confused. Just now I had a bird is screaming.

I looked down. A dead bird lay on the ground, the body already partially decomposed. I had no explanation for it ...

I drove on again. Then suddenly the trees were growing out the side on the shore.

And then I saw it. A house, like an igloo in the middle of the vastness of the park.

I stopped to take a still picture and then drive on, but something drew me to the building as if by magic.

I went closer and got on the motorcycle. It was scary. The windows were boarded up and smashed some windows. Next to it was a kind of petrol station, which had also closed.
Me acerqué y me subí a la moto. Daba miedo.

The door to the building was open. Curious, as I was, I went into the building. Around me it was pitch dark, really scary. Slowly my eyes adjusted to the darkness.

By boarded windows single light rays penetrated to the inside. I went in further and was shocked! Under my feet crunched broken glass. I took a picture and could see the flash, the structure of the building.

Was hier wohl passiert sein mag?
What may be happening here that? I was at the thought of non-well.

Suddenly I heard a noise behind me! I winced, listening tense. Something came up to me. Then I suddenly saw a knife coming at me and ran as fast as I could towards the exit. Something caught in my hair and panic rose up in me.

I had to get out of the building as quickly as possible.

And then I was breathing hard in front of the building and asked me what happens now because war.Ein vehicle came up to me. 2 people got out and greeted me. They were from Spain and explored Alaska with the camper. I wanted to get away from the scary place me and adopted by the two.

As I just covered the helmet, I saw that the two went into the building. I tried to stop them yet, but it was too late.

When I put the key into the lock, I heard the screams of the two and knew that they were beyond saving.

It was time that I left this mortal place, so I sped off. Far, far away, so far as I was at all possible ....
