KETTEN, EIER UND WURZELN / CHAINS, EGGS AND ROOTS / CADENAS, HUEVOS Y RAÍCES

Montag, 17.1.2011: Cartagena/Kolumbien

Es ist wie NACH HAUSE KOMMEN. Cartagena hat mich bereits im Dezember in seinen Bann gezogen. Frühstück im selben Lokal mit frischen Früchten, Eierspeise, Toast, Butter, Marmelade und Tee.
It's like COMING HOME. Cartagena has drawn me back in December in its spell. Breakfast in the same place with fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, toast, butter, jam and tea.
Es como VOLVER A CASA. Cartagena me ha atraído de nuevo en diciembre en su hechizo. Desayuno en el mismo lugar con fruta fresca, huevos revueltos, tostadas, mantequilla, mermelada y té.






Nach der ersten Nacht im Schimmelzimmer habe ich in der ersten Stock gewechselt. Hier habe ich ein helles freundliches Zimmer mit Balkon.
After the first night in the mold room I switched on the first floor. Here I have a bright friendly room with balcony.
Después de la primera noche en la sala de molde me cambié en el primer piso. Aquí tengo una habitación amplia de amistad con balcón.



Vom Balkon kann ich auf mein ehemaliges Hotel blicken, das gleich gegenüber ist. Da könnt ich fast sentimental werden. Fritz die SCHNARCHSOCKE fehlt mir doch ein bisschen. (@Fritz: Schöne Grüsse nach Equador).
From the balcony I can look back on my old hotel, which is just opposite. Since I can be almost sentimental. Fritz the SNORING SOCKS I lack a bit. (@ Fritz: Best regards to Ecuador).
Desde el balcón puedo mirar hacia atrás en mi antiguo hotel, que está justo enfrente. Ya que puede ser casi sentimental. Fritz los CALCETINES RONQUIDO me falta un poco. (Fritz @: Un saludo a uador).


Was aber macht jetzt das Besondere an Cartagena aus? Sind es die Ketten der verschlossenen Türen?
Pero lo que ahora hace algo especial de Cartagena? ¿Es que las cadenas de las puertas cerradas?
But what now makes something special out of Cartagena? Is it the chains of closed doors?


Sind es die Pflanzen, die ihre Wurzeln durch jahrhundertealte Mauerwerk treiben?
Is it the plant that drive their roots by centuries-old walls?
Es la planta que llevan a sus raíces por las paredes de siglos de antigüedad?


Sind es die vielen, zum Verkauf stehenden, reovierungsbedürftigen Häuser?
Is it the many for sale, unrenovated houses?
Es que los muchos a la venta, sin renovar las casas?


Sind es die vielen versteckten Besonderheiten, die erst bei genauerem Hinsehen sichtbar werden?
Is it the many hidden features that are visible only upon closer inspection?
Es que las muchas características ocultas que sólo son visibles en una inspección más cercana?



Ist es das Cartagena ein Weltkulturerbe ist?
Is that Cartagena is a World Heritage site?
Es que Cartagena es un sitio del Patrimonio Mundial?


Sind es die vielen Veranstaltungen, die hier abgehalten werden?
Is it the many events that are held here?
Es que los muchos eventos que se llevan a cabo en esta lista?



Sind es die besonderen Süssigkeiten, die hier zum Verkauf angeboten werden?
Is it the special sweets that are offered here for sale?
Es que los dulces especiales que se ofrecen aquí a la venta?


Sind es die Anzahl der Bankomaten, die hier Geld ausspucken?
Is it the number of ATMs that spit out money here?
Es el número de cajeros automáticos que escupir dinero aquí?


Sind es die vielen alten Gebäude?
Is it the many old buildings?
Es que los edificios antiguos muchos?



Oder die Mühle spielenden Menschen auf der Strasse?
Or the mill playing people on the street?
O el molino de personas jugando en la calle?


Ist es der besondere Schmuck, der hier angeboten wird?
Is it the special art that is offered here?
Es el arte de la especial, que se ofrece en esta lista?






Ist es, dass hier schäbig neben renoviert leben kann?
Is it that can live here Shabby renovated next?
Es que puedo vivir aquí mezquino renovado después?


Sind es die liebevoll gestalteten Erker?
Is it the beautifully designed bay window?
Es el mirador de bonito diseño?



Ist es die Blumenpracht, des weltweit zweitwichtigsten Exportlandes für Pflanzen aller Art?
Is it the flowers, the world's second most important export country for all kinds of plants?
Es que las flores, el mundo en el segundo país más importante de exportación para todo tipo de plantas?



Sind es die Touristen, die scharenweise durch die Gassen schlendern?
Is it the tourists who stroll through the streets in droves?
Es que los turistas que pasean por las calles en masa?


Was ist es, was diese Stadt ausmacht? Am besten ist es die Koffer zu packen und diese Stadt selber einmal zu erkunden. Ich werde die nächsten Tage noch ein paar weitere Bilder liefern, die den Reiz dieser Stadt zeige.
What is it that makes this city? It is best to pack your bags and explore the city itself once. I will deliver the next day a few more pictures that show the charm of this city.
Qué es lo que hace que esta ciudad? Lo mejor es hacer las maletas y explorar la ciudad una vez. Voy a entregar al día siguiente unas cuantas fotos más que mostrar el encanto de esta ciudad.
