Es war Ende Jänner 2018 als ich meine letzte Motorradreise durch den Norden Indiens startete. Dies war eine meiner beeindruckendsten Reise auf einer Royal Enfield Himalayan.
It was the end of January 2018 when I started my last motorbike trip through the North of India. One of my most exciting trip on a Royal Enfield Himalayan.

Heute, 2 1/2 Jahre später bin ich für mein nächstes Abenteuer bereit. Seit August 2018 lebe ich mit meiner Familie in Yokohama/Japan. Vor 2 Wochen habe ich mir meinen japanischen Führerschein geholt.
Today, 2 1/2 years later, I am ready for my next adventure. Since August 2018 I live with my family in Yokohama, Japan. 2 weeks ago, I got my Japanese driving licence.

Morgen hole ich mein Motorrad ab - eine Honda CRF 1000 L, Africa Twin DCT. 
Tomorrow I will pick up my motorbike - a Honda CRF 1000 L, Africa Twin DCT. 

Am Freitag geht es dann los...

ON THE WAY TO INDIA / AM WEG NACH INDIEN

Einen Tag, bevor es losgeht, zeichne ich mit meinem Sohn, was so alles auf mich zukommt - Motorrad, Schlangen, ein Krokodil und ein Schloss. Felix: "Papa, du hast die Schatzinsel vergessen, mit der Schatzkiste, voller Lutscher". Das wird dann natürlich gleich eingezeichnet.

One day, befor my trip is starting, I sit down with my son and paint him the things I will join in India. Felix: "Daddy, you forgot the treasure island with a treasure box, full of lollipop" and so I do.

Und dann muss ich ihm natürlich auch noch zeigen, wie weit der Tiger sein Maul aufreißen kann.

And then I have to show him, how big the mouth of a tiger can be.

Ich werde dich vermissen, Felix!

Am nächsten Tag geht es sehr früh los. Das Taxi holt mich um 5:00 Uhr ab und braucht eine knappe 1/2 Stunde zum Flughafen von Guangzhou.

The next day starts very early. The taxi picks me up at 5:00 am and brings me in a short 1/2 hour to the airport of Guangzhou.

Schlechte Nachricht - mein Flug mit China Southern ist überbucht und statt 11:00 Uhr werde ich erst um 19:30 in New Delhi sein. Statt einem Direktflug muss ich über Singapur fliegen, bekomme dafür aber gleich am Schalter 1.400 RMB, das sind knapp € 180,- dafür ausgezahlt.

Bad news - my flight with China Southern is overbooked. The planned arrival at 11:00 am will change to 7:30 pm and I have to go through Singapure. The good news - I get RMB 1.400,- around U$ 226,- in cash for the circumstances.

In Singapur angekommen bestaune ich der Schmetterling- Garten.

Arravied at Singapure, I enjoy the great Butterfly Garden.

Der Flughafen Singapur zählt zu einen der schönsten und größten Flughafen der Welt.

Singapure Aurport is one of the nicest and biggest airports in the world.

Nach einem großartigen Flug mit Singapur Aurlines, erreiche ich New Delhi am Abend. Es sollte  noch weitere 1 1/2 Stunden dauern, bis ich endlich Geld gewechselt (alle Bankomaten haben nicht funktioniert) und mit der U-Bahn und einem kleinen Fußweg im Hitel ankomme. In meinem Hitel angekommen, erwartet mich der erste Schock...

After a great flight with Singapur Airlines, I arrived New Delhi at night. It will take me more than 1 and 1/2 hours to get some money changed (ATM did not work) and then take the Metro to my hotel. Arriving at my hotel - I get my first cultural shock....

VERÄNDERUNG / CHANGING / CAMBIANDO

Als ich im August 2010 meine Motorradreise in Alaska begann wusste ich noch nicht genau, was alles auf mich zukommen würde. Bei einem war ich mir aber sicher - diese Reise würde einiges in meinem Leben verändern. Wie sehr - wusste ich zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch nicht. Meine mit Abstand grösste Überraschung erblickte am 6. Jänner 2013 das Licht der Welt - FELIX ALFRED ENGL:
