STEILHÄNGE, ERDRUTSCHE UND SCHLAGLOCHPISTEN / STEEP SLOPES, LANDSLIDES AND POTHOLES / FUERTES PENDIENTES, DESLIZAMIENTOS DE TIERRA Y BACHES

Dienstag, 9.11.2010: Coban nach San Pedro la Laguna / GUATEMALA
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In Coban habe ich im HOTEL ALCAZAR DONA VICTORIA übernachtet.
In Coban I slept in the HOTEL ALCAZAR DONA VICTORIA.

I oder a huge potrion of eggs and ham for breakfast - I will need this today.

I look to the many works of art of the century old house.

This is the floor.

Today I will drive a hardcore trip. Fritz, a other motorcycle driver didi this trip several days before and told that it was verry danger and I should not drive this route. This is one more reason to do this trip. My KTM and I will need some challenges.
Hoy he hecho una etapa dura.

On the petrol station I meet ANGELA and DARYLL from Kanada. They sold their house to make this motorcycle trip to drive from North- to Southamerica and then to Africa. You can see more about her trip on www.oneworld2explore.blogspot.com.

My trip will go to the mountains. I left the mainstreet and have my first roadblock.

And then it got hardcore. Right was the old road. Left ist the replacement street.

A short and steep downward.

And then I see whats happend. The half mountain has gone.

A crazy street.
Una ruta salvaje.

Ich sehe einen Erdrutsch nach dem anderen.
I see one landslide after the other.

I make a break for lunch and take some portion of protein in USPANTAN.

It is very fresh here in the mountains.
Es muy fresco en las montañas.

Und immer wieder Strassenschäden.
And again some damaged streets.

In CUNEN they have already set upthe Christmas tree.

In the narrow streets of the cities there are always traffic jams.

The last stage to SAN PEDROLA LAGUNA got exciting.

Rutschige Lehmstrassen, Steine ohne Ende und steile Passagen.
Slippery road, stones without end and steep passages.

And then I arrive San Pedro la Laguna. There are no free romm in the hotel, but i can do camping in the garden.

Here I meet Fritz with whom I had arranged to meet here.
