My trip today is going up to the mountains to San Cristobal de las Casas.

Keine 10 Minuten später bin ich auch schon in einem starken Regen.
Ten minutes later it is raining strong.
Gleich neben dem Hauptplatz finde ich ein HOSTEL. Um 80,- Pesos pro Nacht (knappe 5,- Euro) schlafe ich in einem Mehrbettzimmer. Nachdem das Hostel fast leer ist habe ich das Zimmer jedoch für mich alleine.
I find a hostel near the mainplace of the city. It cost 80,- Pesos or 5,- €uro per night in a shared room. There are no guests - so I have the room for myself.
Hier fand 1994 der brüchtigte Zapatistenaufstand statt. Bewaffnete Ureinwohner besetzten 4 Tage lang die Stadt um für mehr Rechte zu kämpfen. Die mexikanische Armee beendete den Aufstand blutig.
The infamous uprising of the Zapatisten was 1994 in this town. The town was occupied by armed natives to fight for there rights. The mexican Army ended the uprising bloody.

Hier treffe ich Stefano aus Italien und zwei Freunde aus Belguien, die hier ein Studienjahr verbringen. Wir rauchen etwas und plaudern ein bisschen.
Here I meet Stefano and two friends from Belgium who are studding in this town for one year. We smoke something and speak about whats happened.
