Hachinohe ist meine letzte Destination, bevor ich mit der Fähre nach Hokkaido mit der Fähr übersetze. Ich werde versuchen herauszufinden, was in der Stadt wirklich los ist.
Hachinohe is my last destination before I take the ferry to Hokkaido. I'll try to find out what's really going on in the city.

Es ist Zeit von Onagawa Abschied zu nehmen. Kein leichtes Unterfangen, wenn man so viel Zeug mit sich rumschleppt.

Die heutige Strecke führt entlang der Küste und ein wahrer Traum für Motorradfahrer.

Das beeindruckendst heute sind die unzähligen Uferverbauungen mit bis zu 15 Meter hohen Barrieren. Der nächste Tsunami kommt sicher - die Frage ist nur wann. Bis dahin wir alles zubetoniert.

Ich halte immer wieder an, um die schöne Küstenlandschaft zu bewundern.

Zwischendurch muss ich eine Tankpause einlegen. Gar nicht so einfach, da jede Tankstelle ein eigenes System und unterschiedliche Farben hat. Hinzu kommt der obligatorische Tankcomputer, der nur japanisch spricht.

After a while, I have to take a break to fill up my bike with gasoline. Not so easy, because each petrol station has its own system and different colors. In addition, there is a tank computer, who only speaks Japanese.

Mithilfe von Google suche ich mir ein Fischrestaurant und finde das "Seafood Hajikami". Gleich gegenüber vom Parkplatz befindet sich dieser Tempel.

Nach der Segnung geht es zum Mittagessen. Die obligatorische Misosuppe gehört auch bei Frühstück schon dazu.

Es beginnt zu regnen. Ich bleibe stehen, ziehe meine Regensachen über und kämpfe mich durch den Regen und die Hagelkörner bis zu einer Pause, nachdem der Spuk wieder vorbei ist.

Endlich erreiche ich das Hotel in Hachinohe. Hier wird mir die Temperatur gemessen, sonst darf ich erst gar nicht rein. Die Türschnalle zu meinem Zimmer ist sterisiert worden.
I finally reach the hotel in Hachinohe. The temperature is measured here, otherwise I am not allowed to go in at all. The door buckle to my room has been sterilized.

Duschen, anziehen, Nachrichten überprüfen und dann gehts los. Weit muss ich nicht gehen, da das Hotel direkt im Stadtzentrum liegt. Dies ist der eingang zu einer kleinen Gasse mit mehreren, kleinen Restaurants.
Take a shower, get dressed, check messages, and off you go. I don't have to go far since the hotel is located right in the city center. This is the entrance to a small alley with several small restaurants.

In dem Restaurant, wo am wenigsten los ist, setze ich mich hin. Sanft werde ich darauf hingewiesen, dass das Lokal reserviert ist und ich hier nicht essen kann. Dank Corona sind keine Ausänder erwünscht. Ich finde dann aber ein anderes Restaurant und genieße eine heiße Ramen Suppe.

I sit down in the restaurant that is the least busy. I am gently pointed out that the place is reserved and I cannot eat here. Thanks to Corona, no foreigners are welcome. But then I find another restaurant and enjoy a hot ramen soup.

Nach dem Essen schaue ich mir die Umgebung etwas genauer an. Viel ist ja nicht offen.
After eating, I take a closer look at the surroundings. Not much is open.

Es sind einige schrägen Typen unterwegs. Und dann sehe ich dieses Schild. Aber. Geschlossen.
Dann sehe ich noch Vivienne Westwood und dieses Rotlichtlokal, dass eigentlich ein Restaurant ist. Oder? Egal. Ich gehe jetzt Schlafen. Morgen ist ein langer Tag und ich setze mit der Fähre nach Hokkaido über.

There are some weird guys around. And then I see this sign. But. Closed.

Then I see Vivienne Westwood and this red light bar, who is actually a restaurant. Or? No matter. I am going to sleep now. Tomorrow is a long day and I have to take the ferry to Hokkaido.
