Samstag, 12.11.2011: Potosi nach Uyuni /BOLIVIEN

Heute geht es durch die eindrucksvolle Berglandschaft Boliviens bis nach Uyuni, der Stadt am grössten Salzsee der welt, dem Salar de Uyuni.

Today it goes through the impressive mountain landscape of Bolivia to Uyuni, the on the largest salt lake in the world, the Salar de Uyuni.

Hoy en día pasa por el impresionante paisaje de montañas de Bolivia, a Uyuni, el lago de la sal más grande del mundo, el Salar de Uyuni.

Beim Frühstück treffen wir auf Peter und Iris. Sie haben sich in Argentinien eine BMW Enduro um zirka € 3.000,- ausgeborgt und sind jetzt in Südamerika für 4 Wochen unterwegs.
At breakfast, we meet Peter and Iris. They have one BMW Enduro in Argentina by about € 3.000, - borrowed and are now traveling in South America for 4 weeks.
En el desayuno, nos encontramos con Peter e Iris. Ellos tienen un BMW Enduro en Argentina por alrededor de € 3.000, - prestado y ahora viajan en América del Sur por 4 semanas.

Bevor wir Potosi verlassen gehen wir tanken und erleben eine neue Überraschung. Als die Motorräder aufgefüllt sind präsentiert man uns einen Zettel, das wir fast das doppelte des üblichen Preises für Benzin zu zahlen hätten.
Before we leave Potosi we refuel and enjoy a new surprise. After refilling we got the news that we have to pay almost the double of the usual price for petrol.
Antes de salir de Potosí que reabastecerse de combustible y disfrutar de una nueva sorpresa. Después de la recarga que nos dieron la noticia de que tenemos que pagar casi el doble del precio normal de la gasolina.

Was wir nicht gewusst haben, dies ist eine staatliche Tankstelle und seit einigen Tagen gibt es diesen Erlass, dass Touristen aus dem Ausland das doppelte zahlen. Wir lassen uns das nicht gefallen. Es wird protestiert, dann werden wir in das Hauptgebäude gebeten und nach einigen Diskussionen bekommen wir dann schlussendlich das Benzin doch um den normalen Preis.

What we did not know, this is a public filling station. Since several days there is a decree that tourists from abroad have to pay twice. We dont accept this. We are protesting, then we have to go to the main building and then after some discussions we finally get the gasoline but for the normal price.

Lo que no saben, esta es una estación pública de llenado. Desde varios días hay un decreto que los turistas del extranjero tienen que pagar dos veces. Nosotros no aceptamos esto. Estamos protestando, entonces tenemos que ir al edificio principal y luego de algunas discusiones, finalmente consigue la gasolina, pero por el precio normal.

Auf uns warten heute traumhafte Bergstrecken.
Today we are getting breathtaking mountain trails. 
Hoy en día estamos recibiendo impresionantes senderos de montaña.

Bei einem Stopp treffen wir dann auf Peter, einen Arzt aus Deutschland.

At one stop we meet up with Peter, a doctor from Germany. 

En una parada nos encontramos con Peter, un médico de Alemania.

Immer wieder werden wir von den Lamas neugierig beobachtet. An einer Wasserstelle sehen wir die ersten Flamingos .......

Again and again we are being watched by the curious llamas. At one point we see the first flamingos .......

Una y otra vez que están siendo observados por las llamas curioso. En un momento vemos el Flamingos rimero .......

..... und einen Ausserirdischen....... Nein, das ist Leo, der schon alles vorbesichtigt hat.

..... and an alien ....... No, this is Leo, who has already visited all.

..... y un extranjero ....... No, este es Leo, que ya ha visitado todos.

Wir sind begeistert von der faszinierenden Landschaft.

We are thrilled by the fascinating landscape.

Estamos muy contentos por el fascinante paisaje.

Auch in Bolivien wird an so macher Stelle die Strasse ausgebaut. Was hier auffällt - viele Leute, die sich um eine Baustelle kümmern. Personalkosten spielen auch hier keine Rolle.
Also in Bolivia will be expanded in such road working. What stands out here - lots of people who work for a site. Personnel costs also play no role here.

También en Bolivia se ampliará en el trabajo como camino. Lo que destaca aquí - un montón de gente que trabaja para un sitio. Los gastos de personal también juegan ningún papel aquí.

Wir machen Mittagspause und laden Peter auf ein Pollo ein.

We take a lunch break and invite Peter to a pollo.

Nos tomamos una pausa para el almuerzo e invitar a Peter a un pollo.

Nach Bodenschätzen gemessen ist Bolivien eines der reichsten Länder der Welt. Tatsächlich ist Bolivien wirtschaftlich an letzter Stelle in Südamerika.
Measured for natural resources, Bolivia is one of the richest countries in the world. In fact, Bolivia is in last place in South America economically.
Medida de los recursos naturales, Bolivia es uno de los países más ricos del mundo. De hecho, Bolivia está en último lugar en América del Sur económico.

Plötzlich ist die Strasse von einem Miltärposten abgesperrt. Die Durchfahrt ist jedoch kein Problem, nur Fotos wollen sie keine von sich.

Suddenly the road is blocked off by the military. The passage is not a problem, only they do not want photos of themselves.

De repente, el camino está bloqueado por los militares. El pasaje no es un problema, sólo que no quieren fotos de ellos mismos.

Und dann sehen wir am Horizont bereits den Beginn des grössten Salzsees der Erde, des Salar de Uyuni.
And then we see on the horizon already the beginning of the largest salt lake in the world, the Salar de Uyuni.

Y entonces nosotros vemos en el horizonte ya el comienzo del lago de sal más grande del mundo, el Salar de Uyuni.

 

Die Stadt Uyuni ist nichts besonderes. Der Eingang zur Stadt ist mit Müll komplett verdreckt.
The city of Uyuni is nothing special. The entrance to the city is completely filthy with garbage.

La ciudad de Uyuni es nada especial. La entrada a la ciudad está completamente sucio con basura.

Im Hostel treffen wir auf Diana und Zilvinas. Die beiden sind aus dem Litauen und reisen seit 2 Jahren mit dem Fahrrad um die Welt - www.vnextstop.com.

Uyuni selber ist nichts besonderes. Die Stadt lebt hauptsächlich von den Touristen, die hierher kommen um den Salar de Uyuni zu bereisen.
Uyuni itself is nothing special. The city lives mainly by tourists who come here to visit the Salar de Uyuni.
Uyuni en sí es nada especial. La ciudad vive principalmente por los turistas que vienen aquí para visitar el Salar de Uyuni.

Im Hostel findet inzwischen die Schlüpferparade statt - wer hat das schönste Höschen....
In the hostel there is now the panties parade - who has the most beautiful panties ....
En el albergue hay ahora es el desfile de ropa interior - que tiene la ropa interior más bellas ....

Am Abend gehen wir Essen und treffen hier auf Kasia aus Polen (stehend rechts) sowie Franzi aus Deutschland, Anna Sophie aus Österreich und  Jilly aus England (sitzend von links).
In the evening we go for lunch and meet Kasia from Poland (standing right) and Franzi from Germany, Anna Sophie of Austria and Jilly from England (seated from left).
Por la tarde ir a almorzar y conocer a Kasia de Polonia (de pie derecho) y Franzi de Alemania, Anna Sophie de Austria y de Inglaterra Jilly (sentados de izquierda a derecha).

Ein Tag an dem wir sehr viele Leute kennengelernt haben. Als wir ins Hostel zurück kommen hängt dann noch dieser Zettel auf meinem Motorrad.

A day on which we have met many people. When we come back to the hostel is still this note on my motorcycle.

Un día en el que hemos conocido a muchas personas. Cuando regresamos al albergue aún esta nota en mi moto.

Nachdem die Nächte am Salar sehr kalt sind entschliessen wir uns Claudia mit zu nehmen.
When the nights are very cold at the Salar we decide to take with Claudia.

Cuando las noches son muy frías en el Salar decidimos tomar con Claudia.
